After 6:00 this (Friday) afternoon The 'Ville won't be selling CDs anymore. There's a huge selection of recent titles at excellent prices. The 'Ville will be open after Friday but the owner is moving and wants to sell as much clothing as possible. So if you need any CDs for gifts, etc., now is the time to stop by. And let anyone who might dig the selection know. We're working on finding a new home for them in the spring! Thanks for your support. p.s. The 'Ville (117 W. Washington, 660-665-7727) is on the south side of Kirksville's Square, a few doors down from Washington St. Java Co.
The incredible Dressy Bessy will be playing the DuKum Friday, January 12 with HappyAss! These guys are part of the famed Elephant 6 Collective (Of Montreal, Neutral Milk Hotel, many more), their CDs are amazing, and their shows are a blast. As Filter Magazine says, Dressy Bessy is worth seeing because they "make . . . you dance instead of forcing you to try to like something for the sake of cool." Amen. ![]() Make friends with them at MySpace and pick up a copy of their latest CD Electrified at Kirksvillain CDs in The 'Ville!
Dr. Marc Rice presents on on the power of protest music to unite people and challenge authority.
The genius trio of Left Hand Black, Quarterstone and - from Columbia - Emergency Umbrella Recording Artist Witch's Hat! Advance tickets at The 'Ville (117 W. Washington on the south side of the square). |
