Long story short, royalties for internet radio are going up and this is likely to shut down stations that play lesser-known artists.

This means that stations like the awesome Pandora would be no more.

Like too many great bands before them, the days, alas, are numbered for our beloved HappyAss.

Their final gig is this Saturday, April 14 at The DuKum Upp.

Souled American, who graced the DuKum stage in May 2007, is featured in this month's issue of The Believer.

The author, Theodore McDermott, makes his worship of the band clear when he proclaims, "when I listen to music, I listen to Souled American."
